i havent relined the brakes yet had to put the wheels back on to make some local deliveries and in the mean time i was adding a new hitch to the rear of the pw the kind that takes a reciever > i went to the local welding shop to get a plate to welded the reciever too > this is a sharpe young fellow he said "that i only need the plate bolted to the rear cross memeber" > there are four holes in the member now and i drilled the plate to fit the holes the reciver part of the hitch is welded to the plate > the bolts grade 8 that hold the plate to the x member are 7/16 > welding shop guy says thats more than enough to hold the hitch > i am not thinking so although the cross member is strong and the pintle hook is mounted to it and its solid but when i looked on other trucks with a reciever hook up they had additional brackcts going to the side frame rails and bolted any opinions would be most helpfull ~ Copey
