A DC motor that spins the same way regardless of the polarity of the electricity has a "wound field", rather than a permanent magnet field. If you can get the end caps off and re-wire it internally to either swap the two wires going to the field or the two wires going to the brushes, but not both pairs, it will spin the other way. If the brushes are set so they're perpendicular to the shaft, the motor will be fine with this. If the brushes come at the commutator at an angle, they won't commutate as well, and the motor may be noisier and/or won't last as long. All the heater fan motors I've seen didn't have angled brush holders, possibly because they wanted to keep all the mechanical parts the same and be able to just change the wiring in the factory depending the direction of rotation.
