Guys, thanks for the refresher on how this open system should work. I will be on vacation for 3 weeks starting saturday, but when I return, I will investigate further. The engine has not run much in a long time, and I will check for a vented cap and the compression. There was a lot of gunky mucky sludge in the oil pan.
