Well after going thru the process @ the DoDge dealer friday. I was able to get the Clunker rebate @$4500 plus the dealer rebate of $3500 . The bottom line is it still add up to $8000 However they split it up plus I got it at below the invoice price on the new cruser and a auto trans thrown in @ a additional saving of $1100. So in my state of California Its all good.
What a country.
Down side is it took me 4 hours to close this deal. Also I hated to part with my Truck. It was just getting broke in and only had 100.000 miles on it. But the best news is my 1959 WM300 is going to be ready next spring @ Power Wagons West. Happy ending? Ya I would say so!!
