I use Hydroboost on all my Cummins conversions. You cant beat the brake authority and feel of Hydroboost. However, the hydroboost must be matched to the weight of the truck. In other words, I would not use the hydroboost out of some light vehicle and put it in a heavy truck.

To buy a pre assembled kit will cost you big bucks. If you want to buy pre assembled go to www.hydratech.com. Be prepared to drop almost $1000

I use the Hydroboost components as used in the 1991 Chev V3500 1 ton truck. I buy the components from NAPA, with a few extras from the GM/Chev Dealer.

The Following are NAPA Numbers
Brake Master Cylinder JD-8 Option, 1 & 5/16" bore. NAPA 39435 $47.88 last purchase

Hydroboost unit, NAPA 52-7307 $178.00

Both the Master and Hydroboost are for the V3500 91 Chev

The Hydroboost and Master Cylinder do not come with a push rod/keeper and spring. You will need to buy these from Chevy
Push Rod 377397
Spring P15581525
Spring 471736
Baffle 360859
Total for the above Chev Parts $49.00

NAPA can make your hoses so you have a nice custom install

Brakes are too important to buy a unknown takeout from a wrecked vehicle.
