I have squeegeed blobs of window urethane into fiberglass (on stretched taped saran wrap or waxed paper), carefully removed it from the saran, then placed on nearly rusted out floor boards or trunk decks to seal and strengthen small areas. It is an amazing yet somewhat klugy (and unattractive) way to quickly fix old sheet metal without much time, effort or expense. Unlike RTV silicone, it will not promote further corrosion.
