The Lockheed brake design the PWs used is really old, and was old in 1946 when Dodge put it on PWs.


Surely you realize that engineers do have to consider cost in their design, and the brakes on these trucks were simply not the best, even compared to other trucks of the same era. It makes no difference if they were designed for off-road use or not.

The lack of a self-energizing design and no self-adjusters is what makes them poor, not that it matters to you, as I have never seen you allow facts or common sense to enter into your thought process.
