Carryall and panels were WWII only.

The Big Three didn't feel there was a sufficient market for 4x4 Station Wagons. I think Ford was the only corp to make even a 2x wagon pre-war.

And the carryall/panel bodies were Proctor/Keefe, who may have been busy with other stuff in the post war economic boom.

The GI ones were ordered thousands at a time. Little orders went to little suppliers, like Boyerton.

But,OWw, a thought just struck me. The carryalls were common on the Alaska highway project. Wasn't that post war? I know lots of it was done during, but did it get re-aligned/routed post war? Did Dodge make a run of carryalls for them then, or were they all GI? They did all seem to be OD in color.

Just some thoughts...
