Hi Robert,
It was about as simple as I could make it. I had a piece of pipe that had been a crossmember for a lumber rack, it was capped off and had 1/2" nuts welded into the ends. I cut it in half and welded a plate onto each end, the back end plate was capping the pipe and drilled out to bolt into the pintle mounting nuts on the rear crossmember. The front plate welded onto the side of the pipe and bolted onto the radiator support casting. I made an ange iron crosspiece that went across the front frame rail ends to lessen the span for the pipe. I have a set of home made heavy duty jack stands that I welded short lengths of 3" angle to, with one leg of the angle sticking up and the othr leg flat on the top of the jackstand. The leg that stuck up had a 1/2" hole drilled into it. A bolt goes through the leg of the angle into the nut in the end of the pipe, making the swivel at each end. By tightening the bolts you can lock the frame in any position. I was amazed how well balanced the frame was, I could easily swing it around 360, and never felt like it wanted to tip over. I hope this maks some sense, feel free to email me for any clarification.
Tim
