Copey, Thanks again for your 2nd response. Sounds like if the points are adjusted right no arching should occur. So today, I will swap the bettery and run it down to 6 volts and then start it and see how she acts. If still goofy will then open the current poit to 10 thousandths as the book suggests and see what I get.
