Last year a Marine who lives in Vermont lost both legs in combat. The town's people got together and donated over $100K to totally rebuild his house so he could get around with no legs. The Marines dream was to be a teacher. A Vermont College gave him a 100% scholarship so his dream could become true.
When he was finally able to come home, he flew to a airport some distance from his home. From the airport, he went by motorcade to his home. The length of the route, people were lined waving, waving flags, holding welcome signs. It was all on Ch 3 news a few days ago. Very moving how the local people turned out to help this Marine.
Wish I could watch 'Killed in Action' but not on dial up.
