ITW products leave more and more to be desired as each new generation comes along.
Their propoganda writers are clueless when it comes to welding, and write based on maximum lab performence most users will never acheive. Great emphasis is given to convincing people who wish they could weld that the weld they dream of is a function of the machine and not the man behind the mask.
I've played with the latest/greatest offerings in the lab at my LWS, and I wouldn't buy any of the new toys.
ITW is building a pathetic reputation based on their 80/20 model. They well know the majority of machines they sell will become garage decorations. I was a product tester for ITW, and I will clearly state product testing is far less than what it should be.
