If you think the price is high compared to what other trucks bring, look at the very detailed set of clear photographs of everything, and the detailed description of every aspect of the truck. A person could see this on ebay and feel good about bidding on it without inspecting it in person, whereas the typical ebay listing has (at best) one exterior view, one picture of the engine, and one of the inside of the cab, and a 2-sentence semi-literate description of the truck.

I'm not criticizing the people who list this way, but ebay is a national advertisement and you want people anywhere in the country to feel good about bidding on it without having to fly 2000 miles to look at it in person first. A typical ebay listing for that truck would go something like:

"1966 Dodge truck with winch. Low miles. Surface rust only. Runs good. Ex utility co."

That's the kind of ad you put in the local want ads when you have to pay by the word, and everybody who sees it can drive over and look at it for themselves. It looks to me like good advertising is going to bring twice the price for this truck that a typical ad would have.

I did think this like was a bit of a stretch:

"Snow melt got into the oil through the air cleaner last winter damaging a bearing – see video."

How the heck does snow melt get into the air cleaner, and how do they know that's what caused the rod knock? Makes one wonder what other problems they're glossing over. Would have been better to just say "slight rod knock at high RPM". It's the body and overall condition that makes this truck valuable. Anybody can put new bearings in an engine, or overhaul it if need be.
