Don't you just hate that flimsy American junk? After only 50 years of service, some of those old machines are starting to need some repairs. I wonder how many of the new Caterpillars, much less the Chinese tractors, will be anything other than scrap 50 years from now.

Seriously, I assume you've adjusted the linkage as tight as you can, so it looks like you definitely need to pull the clutch pack, whereas I might just get off easy if a soak in diesel frees it up. I found an outfit that sells improved clutch packs -- instead of 8 disks of plain steel and friction-lined steel, their packs use 12 disks of steel and sintered bronze. They're supposed to not stick like the old ones do. If you have to tear yours down anyway, that might be the way to go. Not sure who can re-line the old disks these days anyway.
