1/2 ton WC Disc brakes

The rally got me re-invigorated on some improvements to the WC.

Any one done a disc brake conversion on a 1/2 ton WC without a helitool kit? I have a guy that can cut any of the plate parts I need, the problem appears to be putting the rotor on the hub.

Any one know the differences between the 1/2 and 3/4 ton hubs? any chance the spindles could be interchanged or am I barking up the wrong tree?
