440 or 360 ?

how can you tell whats what? i have bought a 1979 dodge power wagon with a create motor in it some one down the line installed and the guy i bought it from did not know and i don't know...so how would one tell the size of a dodge motor i can tell its a big block but is it a 360 or 440? there must be a way or markings on them i just don't know what to look for ...thank you for your input...fred (i have a pic. but i could not upload it)
