when i used to respool cranes off a five hundred foot drum the gloves with the "METAL" inside fingers would let the cable slip trough and you pound in the cable with the free hand at the end on the day with out cable gloves you would not be working for a few days if you didnt waer them > we have a saying we practice safty for a living and farm to fill in the day ~ Copey
