MY 61 w100 with the \6 225 has a center bolt with a large washer.
You need to clean the center of the vib damper and check to see of the bolt is stil there.
You will need a puller to remove the dumper
I reminder using a steering wheel puller to remove mine.

Before you go and pull the damper, cam, radiator etc
What is the compression in each cylinder? The Compression should
be about 120 psi. I had one \6 that would run @ 60 psi.
Be sure to check that the intake manifold is on tight and does not leak.
Check the intake and exhaust value gaps (rocker arm to valve clearance)
at 0.010 intake 0.020 exhaust with the motor hot.
(set the clearances twice or three times). Check the distributor
advance diapham - The one on my truck was leaking.
Good luck
Oscar
