Yeah, I'd have to agree that if the mech pump is the type that would allow fuel to leak through a ruptured diaphragm into the crankcase, then the electric fuel pump might not be best in the 'pumping into the mech pump' configuration. If the diaphragm does rupture, normally your rig soon lets you know, however, with the electric pump still pumping, you may run for quite some time, all the while diluting your oil with fuel. In spite of all this, right now I'm doing just that on my 'IH Willys'. Installed electric back at the tank, didn't get around to making a block off plate and revising plumbing up front so...
