All kidding aside, I've never been there, but have always wanted to go.
I meant no disparaging remarks about the state nor the occupants, and am glad that it is part of America (sometimes think it should be a little closer...)

My intention was to point out the logistics of the location of the piece. If it is indeed a ruted out vehicle, most local governments try to have them hauled away at the owners expense. My point being, who else would they sell it to?

I have always attempted to unrealisticly keep the price low in dealing with others in collecting our stuff. It's the intial cost that runs up a minority of the deal, and too often people expect a "Collector" to pay top dollar for what they have abused and left to ROT.
As an example, I recall a M100 trailer that the gentleman asked $1500 for on g503.com. Don't know if someone bought it, but I hope not. I paid $150 for one a few months ago, took a while to get, but shopping around Vs "Gotta get it now, cause they are RARE" driving up prices, etc.
We've seen this in the Power Wagon hobby. Seems there are very reasonable individuals to deal with, then there are those offering extremely "rare" Power Wagons that were only made in limited production, like the elusive WC 52 or such, so the price reflects accordingly.
We need to ensure new forum members get the straight poop as far as "true" value on some of these "rare" finds.
Sorry if I offended, not my intention.
I'll start "ducking" if I'm wrong.
Regards WAW
