The axles will not interchange!!! The M-37 has a narrower track. (WW-II 3/4 or 1.5 ton will fit WDX-WM300 style.) The transfer case on the M-37 will but the drive flanges (possibly) are different. The trannys are different but can interchange. Bellhousing will not. Motor will interchange and may be better if all the waterproof stuff is still intact. If you are near Washington state I may have a truck for you if you want the civilian style. I started a ground up resto of a '50 B3PW that I have put on the back burner to work on a few other projects. I completely repaired and rebuilt the axles, frame, xfer case, and it has combat wheels. It is basicly a rolling chassis. The tranny is clean and works but needs a bearing up front. The motor runs excellent but needs a valve job.(smokes a bit from 2 exaust valves not seating properly. 2nd series cab is in good shape, needs to be installed on the frame as does the bed and the rest of the sheet metal I have for it. It would make a good winter project for someone. I probably have $3500 into it so far, make me an offer. If I dont sell as is, I will finish the restoration and try to sell it again. BTW if someone is interested in a finished truck, let me know also as this one could be built to your specification, i.e. color choice, 318 motor, disk brakes, 4.89 gears etc... Obviously the more time and money I put into the higher the price I will need to get out of it.
Anyway just a thought if you are still looking for a truck.
