Ok when we pulled engine we took the usual out radiator, headers,starter off then I took the carb off,We took the distributer out cause of it being so close to the firewall. and disconnected the wiring from the alternater and coil and distributer. Then we unbolted everything and out came the engine. Thats basically it, then when I replaced the distributer I turn the crank to TDC and put in the distributer and the rotor was pointing towards the number on cylinder. The only thing I am not sure about is the coil both wires are black. I would assume it wouldnt work though if it was wired wrong.
