Would it be feasible to make an industructible 4x4 by starting with W500 add a crew cab, long stepside bed and MU2 winch. I know the w500 came in 157 and 175 inch wheelbase. A 157 inch wheelbase would work with the aforementioned setup of cab and bed. Also use 20 inch super single wheels instead of the military type NDTs. Add a CAT 3208 diesel and 2.5 ton spicer 5speed tranny with overdrive. If the CAT diesel is not feasible either a cummins 6bt or perkins 6.354t. A futher mod would be 2.5 ton rockwell axles. Well this forum is dedicated to the W500.
