Put them on! I have a set which I bought brand new, but a pretty good price. I have a 52 M37 with a Hercules diesel conversion and a Clark 5spd, along with 4.89s. Even with all that up-gearing, the truck ran fine at 65 on the highway. However, it is a big jump from 3rd (1.86) to 4th (1.00) with the Clark. So I put on a set of 9.00R16 Michelins I have and the jump doesn't seem nearly so big. Having 5th gear, and 4.89s, I can still easily cruise at 65 on the highway. I put the 11.00R16s on my 10,000 lb Ford F350 crewcab off-road camper/expedition vehicle, which really needed them for load capacity and flotation and ground clearance. If I had only a 4spd I would definitely be running them still on the M37. You don't need to add a leaf for clearance, there's lots of room. they do look nice. All you need is a set of radial 9.00/10.50-16 tubes. They help the ride, although M37s ride well anyway. I'd run them at 35 psi. The inflation table shows 44 psi supports 2590 lbs per tire. So 30-35 psi should be fine.
