The spare tire on the M37B1 was mounted on the drivers side regardless of the branch of service. Alan Bowes response is very good about everthing it covers and you are correct in looking for the lift blocks on the left side (F & R) to compensate for the added weight hanging off the side. NOTE the plate under the spinner is different for door mount compared to the plate for the bed mount. The door type is a short piece of channel 6"long while the bed type is circular about 6" diameter. The spinner is the same.
