It will not necessarrily missfire at all rpm with a bad bearing. I had a similar problem intermittently which stumped mechanics. The carb was rebuilt 3 times and then they finally put a dwell meter on it and the needle was bouncing like crazy. New distrib fixed the problem. Good Luck.
