Those interested in Town Wagons & Town Panels should check out Alan Barrow's site & sign-up for his mailing list at the bottom of the page. Lots of discussion about all aspects of these "sport-utilities" & I’ve recently read a post or two about TW / TP’s for sale. This list will put you directly in touch with 25 or more TW / TP owners. Several members have converted D100’s to W100’s & could give tips if you are interested in that route, as 2WD’s are sometimes easier to find. His site is at: http://www.mindspring.com/~abarrow/townwgn.htm#twp_owners
Also check out Wade Van Buskirk’s TP page: http://www.psmfc.org/~wvanbusk/dodge/#project He has a forum near the bottom of his page that has some ads posted.
And Bill Smutz recently started a neat pic page at: http://connet80.com/~bsmutz/home.htm
Paul McCombs features his Dad’s ’56 TW restoration project at: http://www.seanet.com/~pablo/townwagon.htm Great close-up of the original & somewhat rare “Town Wagon” nameplate. His page lists it as a ’55, but we all discussed on Alan’s email list above & it’s really a ’56.
These last 4 have all sorts of Dodge trucks for sale: TW / TP, D100, W100, 1 ton PW’s, you name it…
Dennis Sherman at “Power Wagons Plus”: http://www.tiac.net/users/pwp/
I’ve seen ads at “Off-road.com”: http://www.classifieds2000.com/cgi-cls/Display.exe?Q769229+OffRoad+Auto+Truck+Search
Check out “Vintage Vehicle Classified Ads” at: http://www.r-macweb.net/CLASSIFIEDS.htm
Finally, The Car / Truck / RV / etc. Trader (convenience store weekly) is at “Trader On-line”: http://www.traderonline.com/
Hope that helps. Happy shopping & good luck !!!
Cheers, JB
