Good luck fitting the 392 Hemi. I bought my '41 1/2-ton which the previous owner installed a 392 Hemi. The front of the engine went flush against the radiator, he had to do away with the engine-driven fan and put an electric pusher fan on the front of the radiator. The short shaft from the transmission output to the transfer case input was an excessively obtuse transmission angle and caused one of the u-joint yokes to break. The left frame rail was deformed and new holes put in to mount a different steering box to clear the wide engine. And the front drive shaft would brush the bottom of the makeshift crossmember installed to support the whole mess.

I removed all that stuff to put in a small block V8, which is lighter, more compact, more modern (parts availability), and enough performance for the rest of the truck.

Wasn't the 392 Hemi only made for like three years or so?
