How wide and tall are your tires? I have used Gateway Buckshot Radial Mudders on a Chevy pickup and couldn't be happier with the results.
My tires are 11" wide and 33" tall, the tread is nice and aggressive, but since it is a radial, it is not too loud on the road. I always thought that radials had softer sidewalls and tread, allowing them to conform to offroad terrain.
THese tires are made up to 37" tall in a bias or radial form. I would recommend them unconditionally.
