I'm planning a diesel conversion in my 1 ton and am
looking at the six cylinder Nissan. There happen to be
several used motors in my area (Vancouver Island) that
were pulled out of decommissioned commercial fish boats
They're apparently around 90-100 hp without the turbo,
which is also available. I'm warming to the idea of a
Japanese diesel for two reasons. These units are cheap
$600 US, and they take a Chrysler bell housing. I'll
be posting my progress with this project, on the forum.
