A 3- 53 iron engine weighs 1005lb. There are a lot of Gama Goat 3-53s around. These are aluminum with the same iron head & liners. They also have an alu. bell hsng. & a Chevy 4spd. They make 101hp @2800 (max) with 50mm injectors. Torque is 201 ft. lb. @ 1800. Looks mighty tight for a PW to me. The easiest overdrive would be from an M-35 6x6 but you have to lose the aluminum bell hsng. to use it. This trans is big. All this will cram into an M-37 but i doubt in a PW. My Isuzu is short enough but the air clnr. would have to be out on the fender. It is 732lb.
