My M-37 with a Dodge 318 V-8, 5.83 gears and 39" tires would push the speedo needle past 60 easily.
However, with the 6 cylinder, my friends' M-37s and M-43 would do about 45.
As for gear noise, I pushed a strip of foam rubber down between the cab and bed, filling the gap, and almost eliminated gear noise altogether.
