I am very interested to see how this inquiry comes out.
I have seen a turbocharged 3-53 Detroit with an Allison
4-spd automatic in an older 1-ton chevy truck. It was great for
pulling a 25'-30' travel trailer. An issue that definitely
requires consideration is the weight of the engine. The truck
mentioned above had a very elaborate overload spring set up
on the front to support the extra weight. I will be watching for more on
this.
