Fifteen years ago, as I was tooling across the Golden Gate Bridge in my '57 MGA, a wire shorted out under the dash and some serious "smoke" started pouring out. In a panic I reached under the dash, grabbed a handfull, and "saved" the rest of the car. When I tried to reconnect the old harness, I found that all those nicely color-coded wires had turned uniformly "brown". Rhode Island Wiring fixed me right up. I believe I paid $400 for all three harnesses (i.e., dash, engine, and body). I don't know if that was reasonable, or not...but I sure was happy with the quality. If anything, the wire gage was, in some cases, just a bit better than spec, resulting in some difficulty getting everything on to the same "posts". As for the color-coding...perfect (i.e., it matched up with my original wiring schematic. I plan on rewiring my '64 W200 pickup and '60 W100 Town Wagon. RIW will be my first stop.
