I have been aware of an early power wagon ambulance
for several years now. Until recently I haven't had the
resources to consider the project. I stopped by the house
it is parked next to today and gave it a quick inspection
It appears to be in excellent condition, the fram even looks very solid.
I have to locate the owner since I suspect this is a vacation home.
The main rust is surface rust on the body and the bottom of the drivers door
is pretty rough. I cannot do a compression test or leak down test on the
engine until I find the owner.
I would be interested in any suggestions as to what I should look for
or problem areas. I do not know the year or model # or any other info on
the truck. I did notice that the writing on the dash was in German.
Also since I would be sand blasting the body and frame would I have to
worry about the paint containing lead? I do not know if they painted cars
with lead based paint or not.
