In this neck of the woods, where roads are snowy and icy for about 5 out of 12 months, we carry sand in bags for weight or to help get unstuck. The rubber bags would be good to keep it from getting wet. But you guys who live where the only thing that comes from the sky is sunshine wouldn't see the need for all of this. :) JH
