My Dad took it in to the tune up guy today and he did tests to see if exhaust was leaking into the coolant but there was no sign of it. He said that if the radiator is not totally filled to the top there is room for the coolant to bubble and cause pressure.
I am out of town but my Dad is going to check it out tonight. I'll post up if it works out.
