I have seen several 48 star flags at flea markets, auctions, and antique dealers. Most have been real nice shape, and for sale at a fair price.

I thought it would be fitting to have one and display it during the annual Saturday parade during the Iowa Rally each June. It would be vintage correct for most of our trucks. However, I don't know all of the do's and dont's about displaying a 50 star flag, let alone a 48 star one. And I would not want to appear disrespectful by doing so. It appears that these rules are not common knowledge to the average civilian. (I see flags flying all the time at night without being lit.) And since you really can't trust everything you read on Wikipedia, snoops, etc.......
