Not to mention that only a small percentage of the total amount of CO2 released into the environment each year is from man-made activities. The vast majority of it is from natural sources, mostly volcanos.
But regardless of what you believe about global warming improving the technology is never a bad thing. I don't think any one energy source is going to solve our problems. Bio-fuels, electric vehicles, hybrids, and technologies we haven't even invented yet will all play a part in the future of transportation.
Still, the engineer in me can't help but think an electric PW would be kind of cool :-)
