Does anyone have the NAPA Parts number for the flat fender's radiator cap?!?

E-gads... this is one of those ventures that should never have happen...

A few short years ago I walked into O'Rielly's Auto Parts with the radiator cap off of my '48 Power Wagon. The guy took one look at it, walked into the back (didn't look it up in a book nor computer) and came back with a new cap (something like $4.50). I said, "WOW! That was good!" He said it was a pretty generic cap.

This past weekend I stopped at O'Rielly's (new YOUNGER crowd). The young man asked what year it was from, I said 1947... he stumbled through the books and said, "...huh... they don't go back that far." Nope. So he looked on the computer (... where they probably load all their information from the books...). Still not finding it, he get the manager... probably in his late 20's. "What year?!?" I told him, and reiterated that it's a pretty generic fitting. He looked in the back, they looked in books (several differnt books by this point). Then he calls their own tech-support line, where they put him on 'hold'. I said I had to run (I did... to NAPA...) but even the old guy at NAPA was lost. He looked it up and ordered the part for me. The other day I went in for said part... completely different looking cap for... something. Radiator or gas or something.

So if anyone out there knows of a part number, NAPA or otherwise, puh-leeeeze let me know!

Thanks!
-Dana
