... here in southern Arizona. For SAR missions I just carry a couple of Bic lighters and a little bottle of motor oil. You can light about anything with that. Used to carry a short "fusee" from the railroad, but they fell apart too easily. Still have one of those magnesium jobs, but never have used it in the field.
The problem here isn't getting the fire started, it's getting it out!
