the datecode is the last 4 numbers on the
dot number ie 5101 which would indicate that
the tire was manufactured in the 51st week
of 2001
3char would mean it was made before 2000
all should read paper on the best of
bottom line radial tires have a 6 year lifespan from date of manufacture not date
of first use
