"Coin of the realm at pickup" was hopefully my catch phrase for "money orders accepted". But I see that eBay is still allowing money orders. They must have backed off on their attempt to require pay-pal.
The after market a/c dealers, Vintage Air and Hotrodair, make under-dash, as opposed to firewall mount. Looke like they are not mutally exclusive. But I think they also sell systems with heaters build it. But then, adding air is not 100% original, changing the heater system would be allowable to those folks who want air.
I do wonder about mounting condenser coils under the truck somewhere, with an electric fan. Let the radiator have cool air it could get. In fact, I saw an old '32 +/- Ford express panel with the condenser behind the rear axle. A layer of hardware cloth might add protection from pebbles. I think I would use bendable emt for the long runs. Cheaper than hose, and could be done neater.
