I'd guess the dist is off 180.

Does the distributor wobble when you crank it? That would tell you the offset tang does not match the offset oil pump. Or that the oil pump has no offset. Either way, easiest way to eliminate it is to pull the dist (one bolt) and rotate it 180 before re-installing.
