I have Coleman with a B&S Vanguard engine that has around 200 hours on it. I change the oil twice a year with Rotella 15W-40. I keep it filled with fuel treated with Stabil and have never had a fuel related problem.

The Vanguard engine can get finicky to start if it's been sitting for a couple months, on occasion I use a quick shot of starting fluid. It's never failed to start when I need it, and I've had to run it in sub-zero temps for a couple days during a winter outage once. I have a generator box under my electrical panel that I plug it into and power about 75% of the house during emergencies.

Hope this helps!
