I have not used one, but after checking the prices, it seems you could buy a couple batteries for the price of monitoring, so if I keep my batteries charged up and don't abuse them, I don't see the attraction. I am thinking of my travel trailer rather than the truck. I am saving for a smart charger, which seems like a better investment to prolong battery life. In the meantime, I will simply monitor voltage and occasionally check electrolyte levels and specific gravity.
