You are right (without the documentation even)about the different engines available. I drove one of those, a '59 as I recall, powered by a 262 Cummins with a 5x3 trans set up. I always heard them called a West Coaster. I didn't like it very much. The feller I worked for also had a '57 KW I liked much better and it had the 300 horse Cummins with a 5x4. It ran pretty well but I had to always keep my eye on the Pyro to keep from cooking it. I was able pull a hill a while far before I had to start backing out of it. I can't imagine how fast that 335 must have heated. This was before anyone thought up intercoolers.
