I agree with the comments about the engine not taking that kind of speed for long. And thanks for all the tips. Chances of the wheels, tires, etc. being all original are slim. Too bad the truck is so far away. I thought the 4:89 gears might be useful to someone.
Even if it does have 4:89s, the speedometer is likely calibrated to those gears and 7;50 16 tires, so he probably isn't really going 65 anyway.
I'll probably keep looking for the old, original truck that's been siting in a barn for 40 years. :)
