Mikey:
You are too sensitive. You are an old fart who worked in the old system and your view is tainted by it (no offense intended). Quite often in today's world most places will not pay for experience and you get people who are clueless. Dealerships and autoparts stores are high on the list who do this. You also live in a rural area where there are still smaller shops who have not gotten rid of their good people. In urban areas, that is not true. There is only 1 auto parts store in my area that has and keeps experienced people. There is only 1 repair shop (Carb and engine work) in my area that I trust. There is only 1 body shop that is any good around here. There is only one engine rebuild shop around here that does good work. All are owned by honest people who know that repeat customers are where it is at. They understand that charging excessively and doing un-needed work only results in short term gains.

Todd is right. A lot of the people are dickweeds and are clueless. They have always been there, but is is a lot worse these days than before. Greed is alive and well.
