Lockout Hubs-two questions

First: There are two different repro hubs soon on the market. Dan Shockley's and the ones that were on the last forum or the one before that. One set is $300, the other $780. Whats the difference besides price? Pictures of both of them looked good. Quality? Materials?

Second question: Do I need them? My all stock 68 WM300 with ND tires gets driven about 200 miles a year. Parades, shows, and fire musters only. Will having them make enough of a difference to justify them at either price?
